Group travel Christmas 2011 at The Trafford Centre
CHRISTMAS is an exciting season of non-stop entertainment at The Trafford Centre, one of the most exciting group destinations in the UK.
Festivities start with the big Christmas Light Switch On (October 27). Thousands of shoppers pour into the centre to witness the splendid annual light-show - which now rivals any city centre's display for sheer majesty.
Pausing only for the grand fireworks display (November 6), the lights switch-on is closely followed by Father Christmas’ reindeer sleigh arrival and the opening of the ever-popular Ice Palace grotto, this year with a brand new theme (November 11 & 12). With brass bands on the Malls each day, Christmas choirs, The Singing Christmas Bears show and so much more, you simply cannot miss the festivities at The Trafford Centre.
Shopping
And each one of the hundreds of retailers will be making their own efforts to mark the run-up to Christmas 2011, with enticing displays, eye-popping decorative schemes, and the very best present-buying in the UK. With major stores including Selfridges, an extended Debenhams, an enlarged M&S and the eternal favourite John Lewis, newer stores to add to the mix this year include Pandora, Kurt Geiger, Hotel Chocolat, Ted Baker, Banana Republic and a stunning new-concept Apple store.
Dining
With food and drink at the top of The Trafford Centre’s attractions, your guests’ only problem will be choosing between so many great restaurants and bars, with new names for this year including Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Weatherspoons, Eat, a new-look Nandos, and amazing Thai food from Chaobaby.
Leisure
And leisure venues at The Trafford Centre are a destination in their own right, with LEGOLAND Discovery Centre for the kids, Aerial Extreme treetops adventure course for families, and of course our 20-screen ODEON cinema packing them in every day of the week.
Visitors in the winter mood can now enjoy a real snow experience at the new Chill Factore, Europe’s largest indoor ski centre situated right next to The Trafford Centre. That’s right next to Airkix indoor sky-diving, JJB Soccer Dome, David Lloyd Leisure and Play Golf driving range, in a range of exciting venues which together comprise the awesome Trafford Quays Leisure Village.
Groups
Situated at junctions 9 and 10 on the M60, The Trafford Centre has more than 10,000 free car parking spaces, and is open every day over the festive season except Christmas Day. Meanwhile, pre-booked groups to The Trafford Centre continue to receive a variety of benefits, including our famous Meet and Greet service on-board upon arrival, discount voucher booklets and meal and cinema vouchers for drivers and group organisers. There are even four hotels around the Centre, offering value and great service for visitors who simply can’t fit all the Trafford Centre’s delights into just one day.
