Urban Adventure at the Trafford Centre

It’s been five years this summer since Aerial Extreme first opened their doors (or should we say trees) to the public with a tree-top adventure course in Bedale. Since then, they have opened four more courses in various locations throughout the UK and are now to open a sixth at the Trafford Centre, Manchester.

With their unofficial motto of ‘bringing the trees to the people’ Aerial Extreme’s newest courses are being built in urban areas that are much easier to access than traditional tree top adventure courses.

Sinan Osman, managing director of Aerial Extreme, said: “We have been keen to bring Aerial Extreme to Manchester for some time so the opportunity to create this new partnership with the Trafford Centre is incredibly exciting.

"Heart of the city"

Developing this type of course right in the heart of a city makes it much more accessible for adventurers of all ages to experience this unique activity.”

Aerial Extreme is having a launch event on 1st September. Children from local Manchester charities will be tackling over 30 exciting obstacles around the course with the help and guidance from the players of the Salford City Reds.

Safety is of course the primary concern, which is why Aerial Extreme uses a fail-safe clip-and-go safety system. All adventurers are clipped to a harness that is always securely clipped to a safety wire.

To celebrate the opening, Aerial Extreme is giving away 100 free tickets and you can get your hands on one now by logging onto Aerial Extreme’s website www.aerialextreme.co.uk

Notes to editors:

Aerial Extreme’s Location within the Trafford Centre

Wilderspool Wood

Wilderspool Wood is an area of natural woodland, outside The Orient. The wood has become a breeding ground for many species including wrens, mallards and koi karp. Bird and bat boxes have been introduced to attract other species and a programme of recycling dead wood has provided suitable habitats for insects which will, in turn, attract more wildlife.
