Edition at Debenhams

This season Debenhams introduces Edition; a new design concept allowing the store to bring both the fashion industry’s emerging and established talent to shoppers across the country. However, unlike many competitor collaborations, these designers will work with the retailer for a minimum of four seasons.

Jonathan Saunders

Jonathan Saunders for Edition features the designer’s characteristic fresh use of colour and print. The capsule collection has a clean understated feel with architectural tailoring, manipulated diaphanous fabrics and easy jersey. The neutral tones of black, white, soft grey and taupe are punctuated by shots of aqua and acid green. A floor sweeping maxi dress with graphic monochrome printed chiffon overlaid on black georgette encapsulates the collection’s use of simple construction creating striking effect.

Jonathan Kelsey

As Debenhams’ first footwear specialist, Jonathan Kelsey has designed shoes and bags that are sexy modern must-haves. The collection is an empowering mix of high voltage glamour and equestrian heritage. Killer heels and clutches in shades of black and gold feature metallic finishes, while saddle bag totes, wedges and peep toe shoe boots arrive in a muted palette with equine buckles and rivets. The collection delivers Jonathan’s signature style while offering something new and directional to the Debenhams customer.

Preen

The Preen for Edition collection captures Thornton and Bregazzi’s signature cool sophistication, realised with an edge. The palette of modern neutrals and monochrome is accented with fiery red and electric blue. Dreamy diaphanous blouses, effortless jersey, fluid soft and structured tailoring - modern separates and dresses anchor in black and grey. A powerful structured cocktail dress in fire engine red adds a seductive flourish - making it the sexy alternative for balmy summer evenings. Pieces are finished with the intricate detailing associated with the Preen brand.
